§ 153.01. NUMBERS ESTABLISHED.

  • Numbers are established for all building places fronting on any streets in the city, and all houses fronting on any streets therein, except churches, school houses, and the courthouse, shall be numbered with plain figures not less than three inches in length, made of some durable material, placed over the front door or on the transom, or on some other conspicuous place. However, the Common Council may, by special order, require the churches and the courthouse also to be numbered.
