§ 52.11. RECOVERY OF CHARGES FOR PUBLIC FIRE PROTECTION.

  • (A) The Water Department of the city is a municipally owned water utility, owned and operated by the city. Further, there is not a consolidated city in or adjacent to Miami County, in which county the city is located.
    (B) In accordance with the provisions of IC 8-1-2-103(d), as amended, the charges for the production, storage, transmission, sale and delivery or furnishing of water for public fire protection purposes shall be included in the basic rates of all customers of the city water utility.
    (C) Any fire hydrant installed at the request of the city on and after January 1, 1995, shall be paid for by the city out of funds set apart for such purposes.
