§ 94.06. MATERIAL WHICH MAY BE USED.

  • The sidewalks on any street in the city shall be made either of concrete or stone, at the option of the property owner. If made of concrete, the same shall be composed of the best portland cement and clean sand and gravel in proper proportions to make a durable material, it shall be made in suitable pieces properly joined, of uniform size, not less than four inches in thickness and laid on a bed approved by the Civil Engineer. If made of stone, the upper surface shall be smooth, the pieces not less than three inches in thickness and not less than three feet by four feet in surface dimensions, with the edges cut smooth so as to make close and uniform joints, and laid on a bed of sand. The grade of all sidewalks laid down under city ordinance shall be set by the City Engineer and the sidewalks made to his acceptance.
