§ 93.08. LIEN.

  • The Clerk-Treasurer shall mail a notice to the owner, in the same manner as above provided, notifying the owner of the real estate of the total charges and costs of the lien due and that the same must be paid within 30 days after mailing the notice. If the owner of the real estate fails to pay the lien within the time specified, the Clerk-Treasurer shall certify the same to the Miami County Auditor for enforcement, foreclosure, collection, and payment in the same manner as provided by law for the lien of other city or special improvement assessments. However, nothing contained herein shall prevent the commencement of an action against the owner for the foreclosure of the lien or the collection of the costs in favor of the city as in other civil actions, if deemed necessary or desirable.
