§ 31.16. PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE.

  • A president pro tempore of the Council shall be selected from the Council’s membership at the first regular meeting beginning each year in accordance with I.C. 36-4-6-8(b). The duties of the President Pro Tempore, in addition to being a presiding officer, shall be to serve as liaison officer between the Mayor, Council, the Board of Public Works and Safety, and to preside at Council meetings in the absence of the President.
